EUROPA REFORMATA - and still reforming

Yesterday the Bible Dialogue of the Community of Protestant Churches in Europe (CPCE) finished. I had been a little worried that the group may be too small, but the people who came were exactly the right people. And so we had a very good workshop atmosphere to think about all kinds of projects regarding the coming Reformation anniversary in our congregations or our churches. The regional reports were, as usual, the most fascinating parts of the conference. We also heard a paper on Jan Hus and discovered that most of us were hardly aware of this great Czech reformer who started the Reformation movement 100 years before Luther did. We heard about some very interesting projects and I am sure soem of these ideas will inspire other congregations and other churches. This is one of the treasures of both the CPCE and the European Bible Dialogues: we are communicate on teh same level, we all learn from each other and respect one another as brothers and sisters. Next time, however, I won't mind a few more participants
