House of One - ein Haus für den einen Gott

Gestern war beim Virtuellen Bibelworkshop - nach der Morgenandacht aus Mediasch - der Tag der Berliner Exkursionen, zuerst zum Jüdischen Museum und später zum House of One, natürlich auch nur virtuell zu den Webseiten. Der Höhepunkt war aber sicher am Abend der Besuch von Imam OsmanÖrs bei unserem Zoom-Treffen. Er hat uns noch mal genauer erklärt, wie durchdacht und klug die ganze Architektur dieses Gebäudes ist, das einmal eine Synagoge, eine Moschee und eine Kirche enthalten soll, aber auch einen neutralen Raum für alle, wo auch Gläubige anderer Religionen, Konfessionen und Konfessionslose sich treffen können. Viele kleine (und größere) Spenden vom Menschen überall auf der Welt haben den Bau in Bewegung gebracht und nächstes Jahr, wenn hoffentlich alle wieder unbeschwert reisen dürfen, wollen wir auf jeden Fall den Ort der Baustelle besuchen. Es ist ein Ort mit viel Berliner Geschichte und schon deshalb ist es sehr passend, dass das friedliche Miteinander der Religionen das Gegenwarts- und Zukunftskapitel wird. ***Yesterday, in our virtual Bibleworkshop, we had our Berlin excursions: first to the Jewish Museum and then to the House of One, obviously only to their Homepages. The highlight was, however, that Imam Osman Örs from the House of One came to be with us in our video-chat. He explain the well thought out and intelligent concept of the architecture for this building which will house a synagogue, a mosque and a church, as well as a neutral hall where members of all religions and also those without any religion may gather. Many donations large and small from all over the world have set this project in motion and we hope to at least see the building sight next year, when we hope to be able to travel freely again. The site is deeply involved in Berlin history and it makes perfect sense that the peaceful togetherness of religions becomes the present and future chapter in this.
