KEINE BILLIGE GNADE. NO CHEAP GRACE.

Was bedeutet Nachfolge heute? Studientagung für Studierende der Theologie – Von heute an bis Sonntag, den 2.8. hätten sich Theologiestudierende aus ganz Europa und vielleicht auch von anderen Kontinenten in Wroclaw im Tagungshaus der Evangelischen Gemeinde getroffen, um sich darüber auszutauschen, was uns Nachfolge heute bedeutet: ganz persönlich und mit Blick auf unsere Kirchen, unsere Gesellschaft, unsere Länder. Die aktuelle Pandemie hat unser Zusammenkommen verhindert, Stattdessen werden das Leitungsteam und ich in diesen Tagen ein paar Gedanken dazu auf den Blog stellen. Die Gedanken der Teilnehmenden aus aller Welt fehlen uns… Vielleicht schreibt Ihr mir ja, direkt in den Blog als Kommentar oder auch per E-Mail an hahn@eaberlin.de.

Wir wollten nach Wroclaw/Breslau, wo Dietrich Bonhoeffer geboren wurde, und so ist es kein Zufall, dass einige unserer Gedanken auch von Bonhoeffers Schriften und Wirken inspiriert sind. Aber jede Generation – und das gilt besonders für die jungen Theolog*innen – muss ihren Weg in der Nachfolge Christi neu finden.

Die Blogposts der folgenden Tage stammen von unserem Leitungsteam:  Dr. Jiří Dvořáček und Dr. Hajnalka Ravasz aus Wallisellen (Schweiz), Anamaria Seres aus Fintinele (Rumänien) und Julian Templeton aus Barnet (England).

NO CHEAP GRACE. What does discipleship mean today?

Study conference for Theology students – from today till Sunday august 2^nd, theology students from all over Europe and possibly also from other continent would have come together in the conference centre of the Protestant congregation in Wroclaw to share our thoughts on what disciple ship means for us today:  personally and with a view to our churches, our society and our countries. The Corona pandemic has grounded us. Instead, for the coming days, we, the conference team and I, hope to share our thoughts on this blog. What is missing is the input from participants from all over the world… maybe you will write us? Straight into the Blog as a comment or by e-mail to hahn@eaberlin.de.

We picked Wroclaw/Breslau for our venue. It is the city, where Dietrich Bonhoeffer as born and so it is no coincidence, that some of our thoughts are influenced by his writings and his life.  But every generation – and that is even more true for young theologians – needs to find its own path of discipleship.
