NO CHEAP GRACE. What does discipleship mean today?

*** Den deutschen Text zu unserer theologischen Studientagung habe ich gestern gepostet, also einfach unter diesem Post nachlesen. Die Studientagung in Breslau wird hauptsächlich auf Englisch sein. 

Spreading the Gospel means to speak of Jesus’ Love and Grace for all people., of repentance and the kingdom of God. Sola Fide! Sola Gratia! No works righteousness! But can there be faith without concrete consequences for our lives here and now? What does discipleship mean for us in Europe today? In Wrocław/Breslau, where Dietrich Bonhoeffer was born, we will discuss how we experience and live discipleship and how we can proclaim Jesus’ call for discipleship. The conference will be  mostly in English.

The European Bible Dialogues originated in encounters for Christians from East and West Germany – until the European borders opened. Since then, we have welcomed participants from more than 20 European countries. It is time that we also go to here our participants come from. In this case: Poland. In this kind of temporary community, we can make new contacts and find new friends. The European Bible Dialogues are living church community.

Interactive Bible study, lectures on current topics, and excursions are part of every Bible Dialogues’ agenda as well as a good amount of time for discussions and getting to know each other.
