FROHE OSTERN / HAPPY EASTER!

Please scroll down for English text***

Tomorrow is good Friday. I tend to overlook that because i want to send my Easter greetings today and then shun the computer until Tuesday :-) But to be honest I do that in life as well: ignore the darkness right in front of me, looking for the slightest shimmer of light in the far distance. Now  that I think of it: when far away at the horizon the first timid rays of the sun appear, it may well e pretty dark all around us, but we call it "morning". It is not night anymore. That is how I see Easter. Yes, Good Friday is still ahead with its black clad altars and sad hymns, but we already know that Easter will follow. No resurrection without dying, but we already know that Death will not have the last word. And so I wish you all a very HAPPY, BLESSED EASTER!

  1. Even though there was yesterday and there is tomorrow, all we really have is TODAY - this moment, when life and darkness and life and death are present at the same time. Good Friday approaches with clear promises of resurrection, and it is the crucified Christ that rises to life and meets us on Easter morning! That's what makes it all the greatest mystery of all!

  2. You are so right, and then that glimpse of what is to come - light to illuminate or darkness, that is already there. A mystery indeed. And it is indeed three gifts that we receive: Faith, Love and Hope. Thank you for your comment.
